Production Lab Tech | Inventory- Manufacturing (3-DAY SHIFTS +differential pay!)

About The Position

National Vision is hiring Production Lab Techs for its growing optical manufacturing facility. Associates perform duties based on their assigned department and lab needs, helping expedite job orders through the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner. Work includes observing, sorting, and organizing job orders, RF scanning, and other department-specific tasks. Inventory technicians also handle order printing and tray preparation, lens and frame handling, inventory and stocking, and investigating order failures. Full-time openings are available on two night shifts, each working three days per week with four days off: Sunday through Tuesday or Wednesday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Entry-level pay starts at $17.05, including a 10% shift differential, with additional biweekly bonus opportunities.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write English.

Nice To Haves

Prior order picking, inventory, warehouse, or mass production experience is preferred.
Prior related or optical experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Observe data on job orders.
Sort and organize job orders and help move them through production.
Use RF scanning and perform other department-specific tasks.
Print orders and place tickets in job trays.
De-box lenses and place them on trays for processing.
Pre-inspect lenses for visual imperfections.
Pick frames and lenses by locating bin numbers on prescriptions and scanning barcodes on trays and frames.
Organize job trays, sort jobs, and place them into production.
Stock items, receive inventory, and periodically conduct inventory tasks.
Return lenses and frames to inventory for canceled orders.
Research order failures, load new frames in DVI, and process lens breakage.
