About The Position

Join Pilgrim’s production team and help deliver safe, high-quality poultry products. This hands-on role involves working on the processing line to cut, trim, package, and/or inspect products in accordance with food safety and quality standards. Team members operate equipment, maintain clean work areas, and follow safety and biosecurity guidelines in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are important. The listed openings are in the Fast Food and Whole Bird departments.

The third-shift schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, described as five 8-hour shifts, from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. The posting also says the schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend work required. The base rate is $17.65 per hour, plus a third-shift differential.

Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive lifting of weights up to 80 pounds throughout the shift for the Whole Bird Department.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as a team player.
• Willingness to work close to other employees at some stations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
• Monitor equipment operation and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety, food safety, and animal welfare guidelines.
• Support team members by sharing skills and knowledge and promoting a positive work atmosphere.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet production and quality goals.
• Perform tasks in different areas of production as needed.
