About The Position

JBS USA is hiring production-floor general laborers for JBS Pork, a producer of premium pork products, including Swift and Swift Premium brands. The role involves hands-on, high-speed work in production and maintenance settings, following food-safety and product-quality requirements. Employees may handle meat and packaging, use knives and other equipment, and work in conditions that include cold temperatures, slippery floors, chemicals, machinery, and loud ambient noise. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekend work as scheduled; Saturdays are typically scheduled during the fall season. The position may require working 50 or more hours.

Requirements

• Ability to work hands-on at high speed and lift over 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to work 50 or more hours.
• Good attendance and safety records.
• Use required personal protective equipment effectively.
• Follow food-safety protocols and JBS product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Use knives, a steel, and a hook to perform job tasks.
• Keep knives sharp and develop knife-sharpening skills.
• Ask for assistance when needed.
• Operate heavy equipment.
• Bag and box product.
• Use required personal protective equipment effectively.
• Perform hands-on work at high speed and lift over 50 pounds at times.
• Keep work areas clean and follow food-safety protocols.
• Follow JBS product specifications to ensure meat quality.
• Shave or wash animal meat before packing when required.
• Inspect meat, meat products, and/or packaging.
• Stay aware of surroundings and notify a supervisor about hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
