About The Position

Kreher Steel, a Tube Supply Company, is hiring a full-time Production Equipment Operator in Melrose Park, Illinois. Tube Supply provides alloy, stainless, and carbon steel tube and bar products for oil and gas applications. The pay range is $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience. The operator maintains machined parts to required specifications and quality standards, inspects equipment, supports production startups and shutdowns, and completes production and quality documentation while following schedules, safety requirements, and company policies.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of CNC machining operations, processes, programs, and setups.
• At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong mechanical, mathematical, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Manual machining experience preferred.
• G-code and M-code experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machined parts to required specifications and quality requirements.
• Complete production forms and quality control documents.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment is functioning safely, properly, and efficiently.
• Assist with production startups and shutdowns.
• Communicate with shift management to identify improvements as needed.
• Follow production schedules and related documents necessary to meet customer orders.
• Comply with all HSE, QMS, and corporate policies at Tube Supply.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
