About The Position

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and supporting assigned production equipment to manufacture quality products safely and efficiently. The role includes machine operation, inspections, tool changes, process monitoring, and quality verification while following work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements. The operator supports continuous production flow through attention to detail, standardized processes, and effective communication in the assigned production area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Working knowledge and ability to operate production machines and make adjustments.
• Ability to gauge and measure parts.
• Ability to perform SPC and quality checks and complete X and R charts.

Responsibilities

• Follow environmental, health, and safety requirements, including applicable Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and equipment safety requirements.
• Perform work center startup and shutdown activities according to established procedures.
• Load and unload parts from production equipment.
• Adjust machine sizes and change inserts as required.
• Inspect parts according to process sheets, work instructions, control plans, and standardized work requirements.
• Record inspections and process checks in Plex and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems.
• Change and preset tooling to maintain proper machine operation.
• Identify, process, and control non-conforming material according to NCM procedures.
• Use standard communication forms and production documentation, and follow standardized process-control methods and operating procedures.
• Operate quality-control equipment, including CMM systems, and perform re-honing activities as required.
• Use 2D barcode systems and associated product information.
• Support program verification and first-piece setup activities.
• Maintain workplace organization and comply with 5S standards.
• Follow Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements and proper labeling practices.
• Use basic Plex system functions required for production and quality activities.
• Meet physical requirements outlined in the Physical Demand Analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
