About The Position

Jack Morton is seeking an experienced live event and experiential Production leader with a strong background supporting technology clients and high-volume event portfolios. The Production Director provides senior Production leadership across a fast-moving portfolio that may include dozens of events and experiences each year. The role balances client, project, team, and business needs, building consistency across programs while keeping teams agile as priorities and opportunities change. The Director oversees Production teams, operational and financial performance, staffing and resources, and the overall health of the work. The position remains connected to delivery by serving as lead producer on select programs or leading significant workstreams. Success means making a complex portfolio feel well run: teams have clarity and support, Production standards remain strong, financial performance is healthy, and risks and resource needs are identified early. The role helps clients and teams deliver current work while preparing for future opportunities.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of experience producing live events and experiential programs for technology brands, with an understanding of the pace, expectations, and complexity of the technology sector.
  • Experience leading high-volume event portfolios, including managing multiple concurrent programs, teams, timelines, and priorities.
  • Deep knowledge of live event Production, including technical production, fabrication, venues, logistics, labor, vendors, contracts, and onsite execution.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, scope and change management, and financial risk.
  • Experience leading and developing Production teams and making staffing and resource decisions across multiple programs.
  • Confidence working with senior clients and navigating complex stakeholder organizations.
  • Ability to balance consistency with agility by building standards and repeatable ways of working without unnecessary process.
  • Strong judgment and ability to move between strategic portfolio leadership and hands-on Production problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior Production leadership across a high-volume portfolio of live events and experiential programs, often with multiple programs moving simultaneously.
  • Create consistency across recurring programs and client relationships while adapting the Production approach to each experience.
  • Lead, mentor, and support Producers and Production teams, aligning talent and resources to the work.
  • Oversee program operations and financial health, including budgets, forecasting, profitability, staffing, scope management, and risk.
  • Maintain portfolio-wide visibility to anticipate capacity needs, competing priorities, risks, and opportunities before they affect delivery.
  • Partner with senior clients and cross-functional agency teams to solve problems, evaluate opportunities, and develop scopes, budgets, timelines, and delivery strategies.
  • Build relationships with Production partners and vendors and identify opportunities for greater consistency and efficiency.
  • Stay actively involved in delivery by serving as lead producer on select projects or leading key Production workstreams.
