About The Position

Better Collective is seeking a Manager, Live Events to plan, manage, and execute high-impact direct-to-consumer live experiences across the US. The role works closely with internal production teams, leadership, and external partners, leading logistical, operational, and commercial vendor management to develop live events into a sustainable, growing, and profitable business line.

The position is part of Playmaker HQ, a Better Collective brand focused on sports culture, talent-driven content, and digital media. The Manager, Live Events will oversee end-to-end event operations, vendor relationships, budgets, sponsorship activations, and on-site delivery.

Requirements

• Availability to start before November 4th.
• Three years of hands-on experience in live event logistics, vendor management, and operations; preferably with major media, entertainment, sports, or promotion companies.
• Demonstrated expertise negotiating rates, managing vendors in areas such as food and beverage, ticketing, and merchandise, and delivering high-quality event operations within budget.
• Ability and willingness to travel across the US for on-site event execution.

• Experience working alongside content production teams, fabricators for custom activations, and virtual or hybrid event platforms.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for problem-solving and driving market growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end logistics, operations, and execution for up to 15 live events annually.
• Source vendors and manage vendor relationships and price negotiations for venues, food and beverage, ticketing, merchandise, and equipment.
• Manage custom sponsorship activations, working directly with manufacturers and partners to deliver and execute them on-site.
• Build and manage live event budgets, tracking costs, ticketing revenues, and profitability.
• Develop operational contingency and risk management plans to navigate obstacles during live events.
