About The Position

The Production Crew Chief oversees daily construction operations, leads crews, coordinates job site activities, and works directly with homeowners to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. The role includes planning labor, materials, and equipment; monitoring project progress and workmanship; resolving operational issues; maintaining job documentation; and communicating updates to management and customers.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of construction experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a construction crew is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong understanding of construction job site operations, equipment, and safety practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily job site operations to ensure projects meet safety, efficiency, and company standards.
• Coordinate crew workloads, assign tasks, and manage daily production activities.
• Plan and schedule labor, materials, and equipment to support project timelines and productivity.
• Monitor active job sites and assess project progress, workmanship, and crew performance.
• Communicate with homeowners about project updates, schedules, and expectations.
• Address job site challenges, resolve operational issues, and coordinate change orders as needed.
• Maintain job documentation, employee time records, production reports, and project updates.
• Provide management with updates about project progress, productivity, safety concerns, and potential delays.
• Keep job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and proper PPE use.
