About The Position

The Production Coordinator supports safe, efficient, and timely seed treating and packaging operations at Vision Bioenergy Oilseeds in Nampa, Idaho. The role combines hands-on production work with daily operational coordination, with approximately 50% of time spent supporting production activities and 50% coordinating workflow, equipment readiness, and production priorities. Working closely with the Production Supervisor and production team, the Coordinator helps organize assignments, monitor progress, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain quality standards. The position also promotes safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, agricultural processing, or a related operational environment.
• Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting production machinery and equipment.
• Experience coordinating daily production activities or work assignments.
• Working knowledge of workplace safety practices, quality standards, and production procedures.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate production documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, to support safe operations and accurate documentation.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, using appropriate assistance or mechanical lifting equipment when necessary.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in seed processing, seed treating, packaging, or agricultural production.
• Familiarity with seed treatment products, chemical handling procedures, and related safety requirements.
• Experience assisting with employee training or providing day-to-day task direction.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience supporting routine equipment maintenance.
• Experience with production tracking systems or manufacturing software.
• A state-specific pesticide applicator license may be required depending on assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities, work assignments, equipment availability, and resources to meet production schedules and priorities.
• Participate in seed receiving, conditioning, treating, packaging, and other production activities as needed.
• Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment.
• Monitor production processes and product quality for compliance with procedures, specifications, and standards.
• Work with the Production Supervisor to address production challenges, minimize downtime, and maintain productivity.
• Provide day-to-day task guidance and support to production employees, reinforcing safe practices and operating procedures.
• Assist with onboarding and training employees on production processes, equipment operation, and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records, documentation, and reports.
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment concerns, quality issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Support equipment readiness and routine maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe, organized production environment.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members to support operational efficiency and customer requirements.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
