About The Position

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Production Coordinator for its Brenham, Texas plant. The coordinator supports safe and efficient department operations by maintaining workflow, ensuring materials are available, helping keep repairs and rework timely, and assisting the supervisor with resolving department issues. The position may involve performing all jobs in the department, serving as a subject matter expert, training new associates, and completing special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals, and to comprehend basic instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other personnel.

• Two years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines, participate as a fully empowered team member, and report unsafe activities or machine conditions to the supervisor.
• Assist the supervisor with providing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform all jobs in the department and function, and potentially serve as the department subject matter expert.
• Maintain work flow and ensure adequate materials are stocked so associates can continue working.
• Ensure repairs and rework are handled in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the supervisor to develop solutions to department issues.
• Maintain and clean the assigned work area, keeping it clear of rework, scrap materials, and unnecessary items.
• Provide training to new associates as needed.
• Work on special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
