Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and / or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong demonstrated expertise in either molten metal or continuous casting, with in-depth exposure to the other areas.
  • Strong leadership skills (conflict resolution, facilitation, change management skills, decision making, empowerment and delegation), preferred.
  • Able to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good planning and priority setting skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Safe Working Practices in conjunction with EHS Department
  • Develop and Implement Standard Work Practices to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved on various shifts
  • Track and maintain Casting KPI’s and report on defined basis
  • Provide Timely feedback on Casting issues, ensuring maintenance and other affected parties are informed
  • Recognize and reconcile any potential scheduling conflicts to ensure maximum productivity
  • Conduct crew-to-crew variation analysis and develop underperforming crews
  • Resolve and or escalate critical items or issues to achieve maximum machine uptime
  • Ensure preventative maintenance items are performed and sufficient
  • Exercise superior interpersonal skills inclusive of Listening, Empathy, and Ability to adjust, adapt, respond to, and be resourceful in the face of change to deliver business objectives
  • Consistently strive for continuous improvement by developing & sharing knowledge with others
  • Work in a safe and healthy manner, adhering to all safety rules and practices.
  • Represent the company’s core values of being committed, action oriented, and sustainable.
