About The Position

The Production Operator will help operate lining and molding equipment as assigned by the supervisor. This role involves assisting with order, color, and material changes, as well as machine start-ups and shut-downs. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Requirements

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Good verbal and written skills.
Mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

Verify raw materials comply with work requirements.
Help perform color changes and notify supervisor of status.
Inform supervisor/lead of substandard production quality.
Check material status and call for more materials if necessary.
Inform supervisor/lead of machine problems.
Clean machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc.
Clean filers and perform scheduled sanitation duties.
Fill and empty color and virgin hoppers.
Segregate scrap material.
Cover for absences/vacations on other shifts.
Follow all GMP guidelines.
Assist in cap reintroduction.
Audit and sort product that has been put on Quality Hold.
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
Complete all necessary documentation for all assigned machines.
Follow manufacturing Work Order (BOM).
Build totes.
Hand stack cartons when necessary.
Attend Green Area Meetings.
Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures.
Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions.
Sort through and visually inspect rejected cartons.
Act as backup for Mold Technician.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervision/Management.
