About The Position

To help operate lining and molding equipment assigned by supervisor. To properly assist in performing order, color and material changes and machine start-ups/shut-downs. This is a Safety Sensitive Position. Verifies raw materials comply with work requirements; Helps perform color changes; notifies supervisor of color change status; Informs supervisor/lead of substandard production quality; Checks material status and calls for more materials if necessary; Informs supervisor/lead of machine problems. Cleans machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc., clean filers, scheduled sanitation duties; Fills and empties color and virgin hoppers; Segregates scrap material; Covers for absences/vacations on other shifts; Follows all GMP guidelines; Assist in cap reintroduction. Audits and sorts product that has been put on Quality Hold. Adheres to all safety rules and procedures; Completes all necessary documentation for all assigned machines. Follow manufacturing Work Order (BOM); Builds totes. Hand stack cartons when necessary. Any other duties as assigned by Supervision/Management. Attends Green Area Meetings; Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures; Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions; Sorts through and visually inspects rejected cartons; Backup: Mold Technician.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Mechanical aptitude required
