About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of shipper production and control including: Coordinating shipper parts between departments Developing a schedule of critical shippers and assigning necessary tasks to various departments Pulling, laminating, cutting, or other build practices to complete shippers Physical Issue of parts and materials (picking, kitting and bundling when required) Inventory Management and record keeping (including cycle counting, variance reporting, adjustment reporting) Transactional Issue of parts and materials; and, Completion and closing of shipper orders. Actively participates in ensuring the workplace is safe and clean. Read and interpret schedule for daily production requirements. Inspect and trim pre-sewn skins. Stretch sewn skin to fit geometric of part; staple and/or glue vinyl and carpet to part meeting quality standards set by Cobalt. Use of heat gun, staple gun, Glue gun, driver and drill Perform standard housekeeping duties throughout the day. Perform in accordance with Cobalt’s safety policies and procedures. Follow all policies and procedures for time and attendance as outlined by Cobalt. Load and unload small package shipments from courier trucks by hand. Use computer and other office technology tools to prepare and/or transact pick lists, packing lists, inventory transactions, shipping documents and other daily requirements. Requirements

  • Must be able to work accurately, quickly, efficiently, and safely.

  • Must be able to operate forklift, pallet picker and other equipment in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, write) in the English language in a clear and legible manner.

  • Must be literate and comfortable using computers at the basic and in some cases intermediate levels to include, but may not be limited to; MS Dynamics GP, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Must be able to use/read a tape measure and weight measurement tools.
  • Must be team orientated and interacts well with others.
  • Must be customer driven in approach and execution.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and documents in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal customers, peers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance, with and without the use of a calculator or computer.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Must be certified, or able to be certified, to operate powered industrial trucks.
  • Must be certified, or able to be certified, to all aspects of hazardous materials controls.
