About The Position

The Production Control/Planner is responsible for managing the picking and assigning of parts to open sales orders for shipment, in coordination with the manufacturing & planning coordinator and the Sales team. This role also involves verifying quantities to be part-marked, packaged, and shipped prior to picking to help streamline shipments. The planner will assist in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling the flow of materials, labor, and quality standards throughout the production cycle. This includes managing material movement in production cycles to ensure seamless and continuous operations with all departments, ensuring a safe environment and quality control. The position requires strong communication with all departments, such as engineering, quality, purchasing, sales, and logistics, to ensure that production goals and customer delivery requirements are met. The planner will also help identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement, and coordinate with shipping personnel on inventory and stock movements. Additionally, the role involves using hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment to move shipments.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing picking and assigning parts for shipment.
