About The Position

The Production Control Planner is responsible for coordinating materials, suppliers, and inventory to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted flow of production. This role works closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while supporting efficiency and cost control.

Requirements

Manufacturing experience required
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to analyze data and track key performance metrics
Ability to write reports and communicate effectively across teams
Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities (percentages, ratios, basic statistics)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, or related field preferred
automotive industry experience is a plus
Experience with database systems and MRP/ERP systems preferred

Responsibilities

Create and manage purchase orders based on inventory and production needs
Maintain proper inventory levels to support production without overstocking
Ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing operations
Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials
Coordinate with logistics providers to manage inbound shipments
Address and resolve supply chain issues as they arise
Conduct inventory analysis and track material usage
Maintain accurate system data and inventory records
Perform research and collaborate with internal teams on material needs
Partner with operations and production teams to align material flow with schedules
Monitor and communicate production and supply chain performance metrics
Perform root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions
Identify and implement process improvements
Support safety, environmental, and workplace organization (5S) initiatives
