About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. The role is responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. The position is based in Canton, NC, and the listed shift hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage carts in the lift table, secure the safety chain, and raise the table.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender or seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards for rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Verify merchandise quantities and bundle items accurately by type.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
