Production Bulk Folder Operator
About The Position
Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. The operator is responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. The position is based at MC#286 in Lubbock, Texas, and works Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work is performed in a warehouse setting with regular exposure to outside weather, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The role may include weekend work, and overtime is required as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Requirements
- Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
- Working knowledge of basic math skills.
- Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
- Position requires repetitive motions throughout the shift, bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, lifting, using hands for grasping and other manipulations, and standing and walking for long periods.
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Stage carts in the lift table, secure the safety chain, and raise the table.
- Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender or seat covers.
- Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards because of rips, tears, holes, or stains.
- Accurately verify merchandise quantities and bundle items by type.
- Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
- Maneuver full and empty baskets.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
