About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility and is responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the facility. The role involves folding and sorting laundry items, checking merchandise quality and quantities, and placing bundles in designated storage locations. Work is performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The position follows a shift schedule that may include weekends, and overtime may be required as needed. The work involves repetitive motions throughout the shift and requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, lifting, grasping, standing, and walking for long periods. Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift.

Responsibilities

• Stage carts in lift tables, secure safety chains, and raise tables.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender/seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet specified quality standards for rips, tears, holes, and stains.
• Verify merchandise quantities and bundle items accurately by type.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
