About The Position

The Production Bulk Fold Operator works as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, handling merchandise safely, quickly, and accurately as it moves into and out of the facility. The role includes staging carts on a lift table, securing the safety chain, and raising the table; folding linen and other items; checking merchandise quality and quantities; and placing bundled items in the correct storage locations.

The position is based in a warehouse setting and involves repetitive motions throughout the shift, as well as bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, lifting, grasping, and other hand manipulations. Employees stand and walk for long periods and may be exposed to outdoor weather, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with possible mandatory overtime. Work may include weekends, and overtime is required as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Stage carts in the lift table, secure the safety chain, and raise the table.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender and seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards, including items with rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Accurately verify merchandise quantities and bundle items by type.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
