About The Position

This role directs and assists the bed crew in setting up and pouring a bed, ensuring all cables, steel pieces, and other materials are properly placed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Previous experience in finishing concrete is required.

Responsibilities

Daily review of shop cards for the day's pour and plan required preparations to set up the bed.
Communicate with appropriate support employees to ensure all necessary materials are brought to the bed.
Direct the crew as to the correct locations of all wood, steel, and other materials.
Continually check the layout of the bed with daily shop cards throughout the shift to ensure accurate construction of the concrete member.
Direct and assist employees to ensure the concrete member has the correct finish.
Ensure that crew members appropriately strip the bed, cleaning, oiling, placing bulkheads, plates, rebar, etc. throughout the shift.
Help or assist with daily toolbox, production, and/or safety meetings.
Work as a production team member by being responsible for any additional duties that the Production Supervisor describes are needed to meet production deadlines.
