The Production Lead will oversee pre-op and/or tear down depending on the shift and coordinate line set-up. This role involves reviewing production issues, production schedule orders, and product specifications, and working with other departments to prevent downtime. The Lead will be responsible for training and directing 12-40 employees, leading continuous improvement plant-wide, assigning personnel to work stations, and providing associate training. They will also recommend corrective actions for non-compliance to their supervisor. The position requires excellent communication skills, approachability, and the ability to communicate with supervisors and line workers. Responsibilities include ensuring specification compliance, maintaining documentation and legible record keeping for the line (including lot tracking, waste, quality checks, product usage, production, and standards), basic math skills, data entry into computer programs, and attention to detail. The Lead must be able to read and interpret various documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production reports. This position is expected to cross-train in all lead areas related to production and packaging and requires working safely at all times, with 95% of the shift spent on the floor. A flexible schedule is required, along with other duties as assigned.
