Full Time Production Associate
About The Position
The Production Associate works as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility and is responsible for safely, efficiently, and accurately handling merchandise entering and leaving the facility. The role prepares slings or carts for the wash floor, verifies and sorts merchandise, records damaged items, and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Work is performed in a warehouse and follows a shift schedule that may include weekends, with overtime as needed. The position involves substantial standing and walking, handling merchandise and carriers, and bending, reaching, pulling, and pressing.
Requirements
- Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
- Working knowledge of basic math skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
- Ability to move or maneuver slings or carriers weighing up to 220 lbs.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, pull, and press at shoulder level and below the waist.
- Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare appropriate numbers of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor.
- Verify merchandise type and quantity on the PUC card and segregate like items together in a sling.
- Identify, count, and total ruined or damaged merchandise and record it on the PUC card.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
