About The Position

The Production Associate sorts salable from salvage material and prepares merchandise for sale, supporting the production plant and retail operation. The role evaluates product value, prepares items for retail, maintains production tallies and supplies inventory, and helps keep adequate merchandise available in the retail store. The associate also identifies goods for special sales and auctions and processes or removes unsold items as appropriate. The position requires maintaining a clean work environment, practicing and supporting workplace safety, reporting potential hazards or accidents, and contributing to internal and external customer satisfaction and team efforts. Other duties may be assigned. The work takes place in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary and dust may be present.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no education is listed as required.
No previous experience required.
No specific skills, knowledge, or licenses required.
Ability to lift and carry 30–40 pounds.
Fine motor control to grasp, handle, and manipulate objects with fingers.
Ability to stand for long periods and frequently bend, kneel, reach, stoop, squat, push, and climb ladders.
Ability to travel across stairs, ramps, and uneven terrain.
Ability to organize, sort, categorize, count, add, and subtract.
Ability to interpret data and solve problems.
Ability to communicate with the public, create and read written communications, and complete written orders.
