About The Position

The Production Associate sorts salable goods from salvage material and prepares merchandise for sale, supporting the production plant and retail operation. The role evaluates product value, prepares merchandise for the retail store, maintains production tallies and store inventory, and processes unsold items. The associate also maintains supplies and a clean work environment, follows safe work practices, helps build customer satisfaction, and contributes to team results. Other duties may be assigned. The position works in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary and dust may be present. Physical activities include lifting and carrying 30–40 pounds, standing for extended periods, frequent bending and reaching, and moving across varied surfaces.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
No specific experience required.
No specific skills, knowledge, or licenses listed.
Ability to lift and carry 30–40 pounds.
Fine motor control to grasp, handle, and manipulate objects with fingers.
Ability to stand for long periods and frequently bend, kneel, reach, stoop, squat, push, and climb ladders.
Ability to travel across stairs, ramps, and uneven terrain.
Ability to organize, sort, categorize, count, add, and subtract.
Ability to interpret data and solve problems.
Ability to communicate with the public.
Ability to create and read written communication and complete written orders.

Responsibilities

Remove salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
Evaluate and determine product value.
Prepare salable goods for the retail store.
Maintain production tallies.
Maintain adequate merchandise in the retail store.
Identify goods for special sales and auctions.
Process and remove unsold items as appropriate.
Maintain supplies inventory.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Demonstrate safe work practices, remain alert to potential hazards, and report potential hazards or accidents.
Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
