About The Position

South Mountain Creamery is hiring a Production Associate at its Chambersburg, Pennsylvania location. The Production Team is responsible for the technical processes involved in cleaning and sanitizing reusable glass bottles and the plastic production line, as well as pasteurizing and bottling dairy products. The position is anticipated to work Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday and 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. There may be flexibility to stay later or arrive earlier as requested by management. The role involves operating production machinery, checking that bottles and products meet company standards, starting machinery as needed, operating boxing and labeling equipment, completing CIPs, and keeping the work area clean. The employee must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and perform the physical demands of the job.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating issues.
Motivation to work safely in a team environment.

Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing duties.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground level to waist height using proper lifting techniques.
Ability to bend and perform other physical tasks.
Ability to learn quickly and troubleshoot accurately.

Responsibilities

Operate the plastic case-off line and be willing to learn other machines as requested.
Verify that bottles and products meet South Mountain Creamery standards.
Start machinery as needed.
Operate boxing and labeling machinery.
Complete CIPs.
Ensure the work area is clean.
