About The Position

The Part-Time Production Associate works as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, handling merchandise safely, quickly, and accurately as it moves into or out of the facility. This role prepares merchandise for processing, verifies and sorts items, records ruined or damaged merchandise, and helps maintain a safe and clean work environment. No experience is required; paid training is provided. The position offers flexible part-time shifts. Work takes place in a warehouse setting and may involve exposure to outdoor weather, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The work is based on a shift schedule that may include weekends, and overtime may be required as needed. A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to move or maneuver slings or carriers weighing up to 220 lbs.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, and press at shoulder level and below the waist.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare appropriate numbers of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor.
• Verify merchandise type and quantity on PUC cards and segregate like items together in a sling.
• Identify, count, and total ruined or damaged merchandise and record it on the PUC card.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
