About The Position

Pacific Cheese is hiring a part-time Production Associate for first- or second-shift work. The role verifies and maintains records for incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares documents accurately and on time. It involves manual checking, summarization, reconciliation, data entry, and analysis to support accurate inventory movements. The position is based in a warehouse/production environment, where temperatures may be as low as 32°F and are typically 45–55°F. Noise may require hearing protection. The employer conducts a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

Ability to perform work in a warehouse/production environment, including standing for long periods and frequently twisting, turning, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as 32°F, typically 45–55°F.
May need to use hearing protection in the production environment.
Must complete a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure documentation is timely, accurate, and complete.
Compile records of unfilled orders and forward information to designated personnel.
Check carriers in and out according to company guidelines.
Comply with FedEx and incoming-package company guidelines.
Prepare bills of lading.
Prepare pick tickets and load documents for future shipments and run necessary reports.
Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
Verify cheese-receiving documentation for completeness and compliance with company receiving procedures.
Coordinate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders and receiving documentation before data entry and posting.
Review the edit-posting report before actual posting to ensure data-entry accuracy.
Resolve questionable entries on items before data entry.
Attend required department and company trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
