About The Position

The Production Associate helps maximize store profitability by efficiently processing donations, sorting and pricing items to keep the store fresh and fully stocked. The role supports Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin’s community mission by helping build skills and change lives. No prior experience is necessary. The position is part-time and pays $14.00 per hour, or $15.00 per hour on weekends.

Requirements

Ability to learn the safe operation of power equipment; must be at least 18 years old.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
No experience necessary.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and use a full range of motion to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Sort donations to quality standards into containers for e-commerce, salvage, or trash.
Determine whether items should be unit priced or tagged using the good/better/best pricing guidelines.
Identify brands and high-interest items to maximize value in the store or through e-commerce.
Meet production targets: process high-level donations from door to floor within 15 minutes or produce one sales-floor rack per hour.
Coordinate with the material handler to bring product, empty garbage, and replace salvage containers.
Greet customers on the sales floor and donors in the donation center promptly.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established 5S and safety guidelines.
Remain at the assigned station and process primary donations, as assigned.
Provide backup by accepting donations or putting out product, as assigned.
Interact with coworkers, shoppers, and donors in a professional and pleasant manner.
