Requirements

Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
Basic problem-solving skills
Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
Can read basic job instructions and measurements
Take pride in doing quality work
Show up reliably and work well with a team

Nice To Haves

Print, bindery, or finishing experience
Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Responsibilities

Feed books/signatures into machine
Develop a thorough understanding of job specifications and production documentation to ensure accurate setup and execution.
Pack books into cartons
Set up, operate, and monitor collating equipment to meet quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Perform efficient job changeovers and make-readies to maximize machine uptime and production throughput.
Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
Perform hand operations as required
Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace
