About The Position

The Production Assistant supports live production and broadcast studio operations, working with Control Room Technicians, Instructors, and the studio team before, during, and after live filming. The role helps maintain and troubleshoot studio equipment, prepares lighting and sound systems, supports broadcasts and special programming, and assists with video files and related technology. It also helps keep the studio, lobby, and instructor areas organized, stocked, and ready for filming.

Requirements

Strong interest in media, broadcast technology, film, or TV production, along with equivalent experience or background.
Excellent time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong multitasking ability and resourcefulness.
Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource to Control Room Technicians before, during, and after live filming.
Be prepared to cover for a Control Room Technician when needed.
Assist with equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Become an in-house expert on studio equipment, including Bike, Rower, and Reflect equipment.
Assist with video file edits and uploads.
Prepare studio lights and sound equipment for live broadcasts.
Conduct sound checks with Instructors and the Control Room.
Ensure equipment is correctly placed on stage before and after each class.
Assist with special programming and events.
Maintain and update iPads and Echelon apps as needed.
Assist Instructors with Echelon Marketing social media requests.
Ensure the studio and lobby are prepared for live filming.
Open and/or close the studio.
Maintain Instructor and studio supplies and prepare a bi-weekly or as-needed ordering report for the manager.
Restock water, parts, and equipment as needed.
Clean the studio and lobby daily.
Manage Instructor wardrobe and towels.
Maintain organization of the Instructor dressing room and green room.
