About The Position

KTLA is seeking a Production Assistant to support its live coverage of the Rose Parade. The assistant will work directly with the Production Coordinator and APOC on script book assembly, camera cards, research, clerical work, and other production-related tasks. The role includes working with production files in OneDrive and providing telephone coverage. The live event takes place on location in Pasadena. This is a seasonal, part-time, temporary position running from December to January, with immediate availability requested. Compensation is $20 per hour or more, commensurate with experience and skill level.

Requirements

• Experience in live television, a scripted field, or a related field.
• High proficiency in administrative tasks and PC use.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and OneDrive.
• Ability to multitask, maintain excellent attention to detail, and manage a high volume of work.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work within daily time constraints.
• Ability to anticipate needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional telephone etiquette.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of live show rundowns and scripts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Coordinator and APOC with clerical tasks and duties.
• Assemble float tour books, script books, and camera cards.
• Work with OneDrive files, including rundowns, production schedules, scripts, and camera cards.
• Perform clerical duties to support the show.
• Provide telephone coverage.
• Work on the live event on location in Pasadena.
