CKUA is recognized as Canada’s first public broadcaster, inspiring and guiding a world-wide community of loyal arts and culture enthusiasts. It offers over 45 expertly curated multi-genre musical programs and other enriching arts and cultural content on-air and online, serving 380 communities across Alberta and reaching global listeners through various platforms. CKUA is an inclusive, creative, hardworking group dedicated to enriching lives and supporting the arts. This summer, as a Production Assistant in the Content department, you will work directly with the Senior Producer, contributing to programming that connects CKUA's passionate, music-loving audience to the artists, stories, and sounds they care about. This role emphasizes learning by doing, with mentorship from the Senior Producer and Production Services Supervisor. You will be involved in the full content creation process, from early planning and research through to producing and hosting finished features across all of CKUA's platforms. The work will be meaningful, whether in the edit suite, prepping for a live program, or conducting interviews. Additionally, you will support audience engagement and growth, potentially representing CKUA at festivals throughout the summer.
