About The Position

The Production Assembly role sets up and operates assembly equipment, rotates among work cells as instructed, and packs finished products for shipment. The employee maintains a safe and clean work area, participates in identifying and implementing cell improvements, and performs work in accordance with established quality standards. The C shift runs from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Proficient English reading and writing skills, including the ability to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment and read measuring devices.
• Ability to regularly exert up to 20 lbs. of force and occasionally up to 50 lbs., bend downward and forward at the waist, stand for sustained periods, and move about on foot to accomplish tasks.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly equipment, including small hydraulic presses, staking equipment, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
• Rotate into other work cells as instructed by the Supervisor or Cell Leader.
• Pack finished product for shipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Actively participate in making and implementing cell improvements.
• Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards.
