About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a highly motivated individual with a safety mindset and commitment to growth to join our Production Team. This role involves assembling, fabricating, and inspecting windows and doors to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The position requires the ability to review production orders, prepare materials, and assemble various window and door components. Responsibilities also include operating production machinery, conducting quality inspections, preparing finished products for shipment, and maintaining a safe work area. The ideal candidate will be a reliable team member with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, willing to learn and contribute to team objectives.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a general labour, construction, or manufacturing environment is considered an asset (6 months to 1 year preferred).
  • Willingness to learn and be trained, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to being a reliable team member.
  • Basic English communication skills, including the ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively in the workplace.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including extended periods of standing and frequent lifting of 50–70 lbs.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and measurement calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fabricate, and inspect windows and doors to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Review production orders and prepare materials using hand tools, power tools, saws, and automated equipment.
  • Assemble window and door components, including frames, glass panels, hardware (hinges, locks, handles), seals, and screens.
  • Perform sealed unit glazing, screen fitting, packaging, and other production-related tasks as required.
  • Safely operate production machinery and equipment, including saws, pneumatic tools, and automated welders.
  • Conduct quality inspections and measurements throughout the production process to ensure product accuracy and workmanship.
  • Identify and report product defects or quality concerns.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and loading materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow instructions and direction provided by supervisors and team leaders.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Support team objectives and assist with other duties as assigned.
