Production Assembler - 1st Shift

About The Position

Donaldson is hiring a Production Assembler to support its manufacturing operations. The role involves following work instructions, completing assembly work accurately and efficiently, recording data, and maintaining product quality. Assemblers may provide backup support in other work areas and assist with training when requested. The position also requires adherence to safety, ergonomic, attendance, and workplace behavior policies, along with participation in continuous improvement and safety activities.

Requirements

Ability to understand basic math and read and follow applicable work instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment and maintain good working relationships.
Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Manual dexterity to handle small parts.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
Ability to stand and sit for periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive daily work using hands and fingers.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of light assembly or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Understand basic math and read and follow applicable work instructions.
Work in a standard rotation, sitting and standing for periods of time.
Complete work with a focus on quality and minimal errors, rework, and waste.
Pay attention to detail and detect non-conforming product.
Record data in a timely and accurate manner.
Work efficiently at a rate consistent with area rotations and goals.
Provide support or backup duties in other work areas when requested.
Assist in training others when requested.
Actively support the site's Continuous Improvement programs.
Follow EHS policies and procedures and wear proper PPE.
Participate in safety activities when requested and promptly report injury or illness.
Apply ergonomic principles when setting up the workstation and chair, positioning parts, rotating jobs, and participating in scheduled stretching periods.
Follow company policies, particularly those concerning attendance and general behavior.
Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day.
