About The Position

As a Production Assembler at GE Aerospace’s Jacksonville site, you will help assemble electronic components for OEM and engine repair. You will learn to assemble electrical components and systems, including harnesses, sensors, igniters, leads, and exciters, as well as solder and conduct functional testing. You will work in a team environment using lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes. The Jacksonville site manufactures electronic component parts and also has a Repair & Overhaul shop for GE engines. The site is climate-controlled and supports diversity and career advancement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret dimensional measurements using calipers and scales.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be at least 18 years old by the time of joining.
Must be able to meet U.S. Person status requirements for access to U.S. export-controlled information.
Employment is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Basic math, computer, and ERP skills.
Basic written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to cross-train as required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience in soldering, electronics manufacturing, assembly, and brazing.
Dimensional and electrical training.

Responsibilities

Perform visual and basic measurement inspections of parts after assembly steps.
Cut, strip, and crimp wire.
Perform functional tests using equipment such as electrical, helium, and leak testers.
Operate test equipment.
Obtain all required certifications.
Safely handle hazardous materials.
Use a variety of hand and power tools.
Measure weight.
