About The Position

This role involves performing routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly to ensure components meet quality and safety standards. The Production Assembler I will impact production outcomes by executing precise assembly tasks and supporting the manufacturing team. This is a first shift position, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. The assembler will work with production supervisors and quality personnel to maintain throughput and reliability.

Requirements

• Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a related field
• 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for working with small parts
• Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
• Capable of performing basic mathematics and reading/interpreting safety rules and manufacturing instructions
• Ability to identify issues and address them; willingness and capacity to learn new tasks

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly of small parts or components following defined instructions and procedures
• Review shop traveler/route cards or simple schematics to confirm correct sequence of operations
• Position very small parts under a binocular microscope using tweezers or fixtures and solder fine wires to resistors and base parts
• Bond or seal parts with epoxies and use direct heating elements or ovens as required
• Conduct in-process testing and demonstrate adherence to safety policies and procedures
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; work nights/weekends or additional hours as necessary
