About The Position

Halter is seeking a Product Training Specialist to ensure that customer-facing teams have in-depth knowledge of the Halter product. This role involves owning the ongoing product knowledge for new and existing hires across Support, Onboarding, and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. The specialist will be responsible for creating training content, conducting training sessions, assessing competency, and identifying knowledge gaps to ensure customers have the best possible experience. This is a crucial role in a fast-growing agtech company focused on sustainable farming operations.

  • Comfortable on farms and around animals; willingness to engage in hands-on activities.
  • Genuine interest in farming and agtech, including hardware, software, animal behavior, and farm operations.
  • Proven ability to get things done.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Support, Onboarding, Customer Success, or field-based GTM teams.
  • Experience building training collateral such as written guides, assessments, short videos, or visual explainers.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles.
  • Comfort using data to identify knowledge gaps.
  • Experience in or exposure to agtech, farming, or complex technical products.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the new starter training program for customer-facing hires.
  • Own the seasonal training calendar to align with farming seasons.
  • Develop training content, including modules, assessments, and tests for the full product suite.
  • Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing teams to prepare training for new product releases.
  • Manage ongoing education to ensure teams' knowledge evolves with product updates.
  • Work with Customer Enablement to understand farmer needs and product challenges.
  • Conduct competency assessments for new and existing team members.
  • Stay close to customer-facing teams by participating in support calls and farm visits to identify knowledge gaps.
  • Maintain and update learning pathways and assessments as the product evolves.
  • Utilize AI to enhance training efficiency and focus on human-centric aspects.
