About The Position
Blood Assurance is hiring two full-time Product Technicians for its downtown Chattanooga laboratory. The roles work second shift, 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., and include a shift premium. One position follows a Monday–Friday schedule and the other follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Product Technicians take hospital orders, prepare blood and blood products for distribution, coordinate shipment pickup, receive blood components from multiple locations, and manufacture blood and blood components according to standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Be detail-oriented.
- Have excellent verbal and written customer service skills.
- Have computer skills.
- Be able to routinely lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and take orders from area hospitals in need of blood products.
- Pack blood and/or blood products for distribution according to standard operating procedures.
- Notify the courier when a shipment is ready for pickup.
- Receive blood components from multiple locations.
- Manufacture blood and blood components according to standard operating procedures.
