About The Position

Empire Distributors Inc., a leading beverage distributor, is hiring a Warehouse Associate for its first shift in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role supports distribution-center inventory fulfillment by picking and moving products, loading trucks for next-day delivery, and maintaining an orderly work area. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, or a specified combination of related experience, training, and education, as well as forklift certification and basic computer skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift certification.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Pull orders and stock, store, and distribute inventory within the distribution center; load trucks for next-day delivery.
Pick cases and individual bottles from shelf and racking locations to fulfill orders.
Operate forklifts, order pickers, and hand trucks to transport products.
Load and unload inventory from trucks by hand or using forklifts and hand trucks.
Follow established procedures for signing equipment in and out.
Perform fulfillment functions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain the assigned work area in a clean and acceptable manner.
Re-warehouse broken inventory according to proper procedures, sorting sellable inventory and returning goods to product locations.
Re-warehouse loose bottles and request a supervisor assign a bottle location when necessary.
Replenish and clean the designated area during the shift, ensuring pallets and trash are stored properly.
