About The Position
The Mental Health Associates Aide (LMHA/LMHT) provides direct patient care under the supervision of the clinical team. The role supports a safe, therapeutic milieu through appropriate interactions with clients and by maintaining the proper level of resident supervision. The position works the second shift, from 2:25 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of CPR certification, age-specific training, and current patient aggression management training within 90 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- BA or BS degree in a related mental health field preferred.
- Previous experience working with behavioral health patients, children, adolescents, and/or special needs populations strongly preferred.
- One year of experience in a mental health setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Record patient vital signs.
- Assist with head-to-toe assessments and proper clinical documentation.
- Maintain patient health data and records.
- Run therapeutic group sessions.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu, including crisis intervention.
- Perform Q15 observation rounds.
- Work within the ethical boundaries of the field.
- Provide direct patient care under clinical team supervision and maintain appropriate resident supervision.
