About The Position
MidwayUSA is seeking a Product Specialist for their Sporting Optics & Scopes line. This role involves working with a Merchandising Manager to select products, build supplier relationships, and improve supplier performance. The specialist will also be responsible for product benchmarking and creating promotional events. Requirements
- Bachelors degree (Business, Marketing or related field preferred)
- 1-3 years applicable professional experience (preferred)
- User of MidwayUSA's core products and have a passion for shooting, hunting and the outdoors
- Excellent product and technical knowledge of Scopes & Optics
- Excellent creative writing skills
- Ability and desire to learn and implement new ideas
- Team player with a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Select products on the Sporting Optics & Scopes line according to established category budget & overall company budget
- Develop relationships with Sporting Optics & Scopes Suppliers
- Review Supplier Performance metrics & suggest & implement measures to drive improvement
- Product benchmarking, including selling price, promotions, product offering, and product information
- Create promotional events at the direction of the Merchandising Manager for the Sporting Optics line
