As owner of the product development milestones for their respective categories, the assistant product manager would own the timeliness of the product’s checkpoint approvals from ideation to shelf. A successful assistant product manager can work collaboratively and professionally with many different team members both internally and externally to ensure their products meet the quality, packaging guidelines and brand essence expectations of the OWN Brands of Staples Canada. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the exciting beginning of the OWN Brands department. With this, this position offers the ability to be a part of the beginning of many new administrative processes. For this reason, the successful candidate would be able to offer their perspective on how to best take on the documentation and tracking of both the current assortment and future expansion of our branded products. This role will change the way we catalogue and keep tabs on all aspects of the product development process, a true opportunity to map the success and assurance of the future of Staples Canada.
