About The Position

The purpose of Product Specialist II is to support Honda wholesale distributors in driving retail sales of commercial turf equipment—high‑capital‑cost products that require a relationship‑focused, consultative approach with end users. Equip distributors with the insights and support needed to build trust and close short/long‑term sales opportunities, this role will support growing market share and accelerating end-market sales through on-site product demonstrations, competitive analysis, and in-depth product knowledge.

Requirements

  • BA degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications, SAP, and Sales Force
  • 5-7 Years of B2B sales success, preferably within commercial landscape or power equipment industries
  • Demonstrated experience navigating state and federal government procurement standards and leveraging this expertise to support and facilitate retail sales processes
  • Experience in turf management sales, including product knowledge and customer engagement within the turf industry
  • Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to understand and adapt to the needs of diverse audiences
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship‑building skills, grounded in understanding the audience and tailoring approaches to achieve desired results.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate & support distributor partners in prospecting, on-site product demonstrations, and retail sales. Effectively communicate activity of successes/challenges to management
  • Manage sales pipeline stages to identify current and future multi‑unit sales opportunities, leveraging accurate and timely CRM management data to ensure visibility and effective follow‑up
  • Monitor U.S. market conditions by region, identify sales obstacles and opportunities. Develop, execute, and track countermeasure plans. Actively participate in relevant trade organizations, and build relationships with core target customers
  • Create and execute annual development plans that strengthen performance within the role while building capabilities that support readiness for future opportunities.
  • Develop regular reporting cadence with key stakeholders
