Requirements

  • Familiarity with a Quotation process
  • Quality customer service skills
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • 5 years experience in a Windows-Based environment
  • Able to collaborate effectively and influence others
  • Well Organized and ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to balance multiple change initiatives
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Technical aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using an AS400 Database
  • BS Degree in a numeric or business related discipline
  • Experience in electronic distribution industry a plus
  • Background in Product Management, sales, quotations, a plus
  • Product knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales booked through single/multiple lines quotations activities
  • Development of good working relationships and knowledge of tools with vendor contacts to obtain timely answers and meet turn time goals. Proactively leverage vendor relationships to win critical and competitive large sales opportunities and improve margin goals.
  • Collaborate with Product teams, Sales teams, and global quoting teams to deliver high performance results for assigned region. Follow up with sales teams or directly with customers on open opportunities to capture sales.
  • Request special consideration based on vendor rules including registration programs, educational discounts, key promotional pricing, Federal Government rules, etc.
  • Identify alternative options that may result in lower costs, higher margin and an improved customer experience.
  • Create skus insuring all data is correct and current and effectively manage customer requests quoting large volumes of product (Bill of Materials) using a combination of excel and data base tools. If applicable in region
  • Provide vendor specific guidance on a BOM quote and qualify prior to scrubbing. Buys, annuals, and package programs. Deliver on match rate and due date goals If applicable in region
  • To source products and provide product quotations on products outside the businesses actively marketed range
