About The Position
Join RTX’s Quality Engineering team as a Product Quality Intern. You will support efforts to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements, applying engineering skills and tools to verify and improve processes and product quality. Your work will help improve efficiency and minimize manufacturing and inspection challenges. The role is classified as onsite in Largo, Florida. U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract. No security clearance is required.
Requirements
- Actively pursue a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) throughout the internship.
- Have experience with analytical tools or methods related to quality improvement.
- Understand basic engineering principles and processes.
- Have prior coursework or experience in process optimization or manufacturing systems.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on projects involving quality assurance or process improvement.
- Knowledge of industry standards for quality management systems.
- Experience using tools such as PFMEA, control plans, or statistical analysis methods.
Responsibilities
- Support compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory quality requirements.
- Apply engineering methods to develop and implement effective product verification and acceptance processes.
- Use quantitative and qualitative tools to assess and improve product quality.
- Assist in identifying and minimizing manufacturing and inspection issues.

- Collaborate with team members to deploy efficient methods for process optimization.
