About The Position
Join the Ejection and Propulsion department in Fairfield, California, as a Quality Engineering Intern. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality engineering processes and products while gaining hands-on experience and collaborating with professionals in a dynamic environment. The position is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract. No security clearance is required.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled through the duration of the internship in a Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering degree program, or a related field.
- Experience with inspection tooling and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Responsibilities
- Support defect reduction initiatives through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers on manufacturing and inspection activities.
- Implement process improvements using continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
- Apply engineering principles to support quality assurance activities.
