Product Quality Engineer - Dive-XL

Anduril•Costa Mesa, CA

About The Position

The Product Quality Engineer ensures manufactured products meet engineering specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards throughout the product lifecycle, from initial production through field deployment and sustainment. The role emphasizes field operations quality, including travel to operational sites for inspections and root cause investigations, and driving corrective actions that connect factory and field performance. The engineer serves as the quality voice across production, engineering, and field operations teams. The position leads production inspection, verification, and acceptance activities; maintains inspection plans and quality procedures; performs first article, in-process, and final acceptance inspections; and analyzes production data to identify systemic issues and opportunities for improvement. It also includes field-site quality assessments, investigations of field failures, and coordination with service, logistics, and customer support teams. The engineer supports the Quality Management System and applicable standards, participates in audits, owns audit findings through corrective-action closure, and authors or revises quality documentation. The work spans office, factory-floor, and field-site settings, with travel up to 30%.
