Anduril is establishing the first U.S. Dive-XL production line at its 150,000-square-foot campus in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. Dive-XL is an extra-large autonomous underwater vehicle built for ultra-long range and large modular payloads, and is the vehicle behind Ghost Shark, built in Sydney for the Royal Australian Navy. The manufacturing engineering role focuses on mechanical systems and will help establish production processes at the new campus, with responsibility for major assemblies, tooling, process documentation, and hands-on collaboration with production technicians. The engineer will own the manufacturing of a major Dive-XL assembly from first article through rate production, design and trial tooling, create manufacturing documentation, support design improvements, and help connect engineering, manufacturing execution, and enterprise resource planning systems. Subsea experience is not required; strong mechanical fundamentals and hands-on build experience are sought, and vehicle-specific knowledge will be taught.
